Podcasts

As a designer, a lot of the ground work I do is tedious and time consuming, like photo-editing and checking documents for perfect alignment. Podcasts have been an amazing tool to learn more about my favorite topics while spending hours working. Some are educational, some are emotional, and some are just guilty pleasures.

Co-hosts, Sarah Rice and Susie Meister, were both on a number of MTV reality shows like The Challenge. I actually haven't watched any of their seasons and you definitely don't have to to enjoy this podcast. They are both smart, quick, witty, and funny ladies. Sarah is pursuing her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Susie has her PhD in Religious Studies. I specifically love the topics they cover.

Jordana Abraham of Betches and comedian Jared Freid discuss their take on modern dating issues ranging from apps to hook ups to relationships. They have introduced me to the best new game/conversation starter: Red flag or dealbreaker?

I was way more obsessed with My Favorite Murder when it first came out. I've taken a break from listening to it recently as they mostly seem to post only live shows and the sound quality and quipiness are lacking. I would go back and listen from the beginning if you have a fascination with murder. They tell the stories in a way where you'll be horrified and laughing at the same time.

Dax Shepard interviews celebrities about the messiness of being human. They are truly vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings. with a side of comedy.

This is the most "self-helpy" podcast I listen to. I have to be in the right mood. They offer some interesting tools and insight into being successful socially in business relationships.
